Health First Provider of the Week – Tracie Warren, PA-C

October 17, 2019

Hey Health First! This week we are recognizing Tracie Warren, one of our fabulous PA’s as Provider of the Week!

Growing up Tracie always planned on being either a zoologist or a veterinarian. She wanted a career that allowed her to help others and give her a sense of making a difference. Then, during her freshman year of college as a biology major, she was introduced to the Physician Assistant profession, and knew that was the direction she wanted to take.

Tracie went to work immediately after graduating from the University of Kentucky Physician Assistant program in 1998. Her focus has been in family practice, emergency medicine and urgent care. While her path has been personally fulfilling, it has also allowed her to put her husband through medical school and a residency. During her career she and her husband have raised three of their children to adulthood and continue to raise two children still at home.

When it’s time to relax Tracie enjoys being with her husband, kids, and their three cats! Her family also enjoys hiking, exploring, kayaking, and taking summer trips to national parks. While she has been a PA for over 20 years, Tracie still enjoys learning new things. She is currently taking piano lessons with her youngest son and once a week volunteers with the medical clinic at the Avian Conservation Center taking care of sick and injured birds.

Tracie is a valuable member of our Health First team and we are so thankful to have her as a provider for our patients!
